Week 17 Wrap-Up:
Let’s wrap up week 17 shall we? This was a huge week for me because I got all of them right…except one. I expected too much out of the pug owner doctor man. I totally beat my little bro while Daniel beat the dude, Steve, in first place! Barry defeated Barker, and Luke unfortunately beat Stan. Tony beat Jacob which I didn’t see coming even though I predicted it…and Ryan beat Alison. All in all it was a great predictions week for me and not one of you cares. So let’s move on to this week’s matchups.
Since we are only a couple games from the playoffs let’s review the standings for each team in the Fresh Bananas Fantasy Basketball League:
If you are towards the bottom of the list and your thought is that you’re not doing so well, you would be correct. It’s not looking good. As for those who are near the top, early congratulations are in order for making it to the playoffs. Steve and Ryan are for sure contenders for the playoffs starting in a couple of weeks. This is such an exciting time in the game of fantasy basketball, so hold onto your caps as we look at my predictions for this week.
In honor of the Oscars, I will be giving out Oscars while predicting the winner because why not…please note whoever “wins” the Oscar is my prediction for who will win that matchup this week…if that wasn’t clear enough for you.
Academy Award for Best Actress: Lainey vs. Luke
This one is no contest. Luke’s just not a girl. The Oscar for Best Actress goes to Air Lainey.
Academy Award for Animated Feature Film: Daniel vs. Jacob
Let’s face it Jacob, Daniel is much more animated. The Oscar for Animated Feature Film goes to Daniel.
Academy Award for best Costume Design: Derek vs. Barker
I have to say this is a tough one knowing of Barker in high school and seeing my brothers pink pajama suit in high school... The Oscar for best Costume Design goes to Barker.
Academy Award for best Cinematography: Barry vs. Steve
This one is a bit unfair. Steve, I don’t know your cinematography style, but I have seen some of Barry’s. Old footage to your high school days with my husband…absolute perfection. The Oscar for best Cinematography goes to Barry.
Academy Award for best Director: Ryan vs. Tony
This is also a tough one. I’ve known Tony for a while I hear he’s a great director when it comes to being out on the water, but I also got to know Ryan this weekend over pizza with the husband and he directed us towards that decision which was a brilliant one. The Oscar for best Director goes to Ryan.
Academy Award for best Writing: Alison vs. Stan
Alison is super smart and so is Stan. I think you’d both write really well. As for the content, after seeing some of Stan’s visions drawn out on paper, I can’t even imagine what’s going on his brain. It would probably make for some insane writing. The Oscar for best Writing goes to Stan.
There you have it. Sorry I’m not as funny as host as the real one from the Academy Awards. I hope you can just settle for charming. Until next week…
