adidas has been killing it on the fashion and footwear front for a grip. They definitely have had setbacks with endorsed athletes in the United States - Robert Griffin III, Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard. Off the field/court/pitch, adidas is unmatched. Kanye West is making everything pop off for the German footwear giants.
Footwear is their forte, though they have ventured into fashion for quite some time. It's been a good relationship. Their connection to culture and fashion is refreshing.
Boost technology is well documented at this point, but that doesn't make it any less incredible to wear. The "Torsion System" in the sole of the shoe is incredible. This shoe is technically just one step above the Energy Boost model, with a $20 price jump attached. However, this shoe is a whole new level of fantastic.
I've never had a better runner and because the shoe looks so good and works as a casual shoe, I don't want to use it for its intended purpose. And that is probably the hallmark of a great shoe. Red Wing Heritage look amazing and are made with unparalleled craftsmanship, but you don't need to work in a factory to wear them. Jordan brand produces some fantastic retros of the classic Michael Jordan signature shoes, but they are rarely associated with modern on-court performance.
A shoe that serves the pinnacle of performance, comfort and style. I was blown away by the quality and comfort of this hyped sneaker. And yes, I will be wearing them for their intended purpose because if you're already going through the awfulness that is cardio, you should at least make your feet happy.
